INFANT Foundation is working on a new project called "MITS COVID 19" whose objective is to determine the pathophysiological mechanisms of SARS CoV2 (COVID19) infection in adult and pediatric mortality in the AMBA through multicenter observational studies of combined approach of minimally invasive tissue sampling (post mortem biopsies) taking into account the clinical history and determination of final cause of death by individual and systematized analysis of a panel of experts (DeCoDe). The hospitals involved in this research are: Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires (HIBA), Hospital Militar Central Cirujano Mayor Dr. Cosme Argerich (CABA), Hospital Sup. Sor María Ludovica (La Plata). We also have the collaboration of the National Institute of Health and Environment of the USA (NIEHS) and MITS Surveillance Alliance Secretariat, with the support and funding of MITS Surveillance Alliance. Infant is working on this project since June 2020 and it is estimated that it will be until October of this year (2020).
